Getting There:
Via the M5 from Bristol:
Follow the M5 from Bristol until it becomes the A38. Turn off after 1.5 miles of the A38 into the village of Kennford. Drive through the village [back over the A38] and follow the signs for Dunchideock, until the Shillingford sign is seen on the hairpin bend at Clapham. Continue to follow the road until you see the fishery on your left after three quarters of a mile, just before Shillingford St. George.

Via the A38 from Plymouth:
Turn left off the A38 just after the Happy Eater restaurant [opposite Exeter racecourse] and at the T junction turn left on the Dunchideock road then follow the directions as above. Follow the road towards Dunchideock for approximately 1.5 miles and watch out for a road which forks off on the right signposted [not very well] for Clapham. Follow this road over a minor crossroads down to the bottom. Turn left and immediately sweep right up the hill towards Shillingford. The fishery is about three quarters of a mile on your left, just before you enter the village.

South View Coarse Fishery consists of three stream fed coarse fishing lakes known as Willow Pool, Kingfisher Pond and Heron pond. Set in six acres, all the waters have regularly produced good catches since they were opened to day ticket anglers over 15 years ago.

This is a mixed fishery where the pleasure angler and the matchman alike can bag up. When the lakes are fishing well (and they usually are) 50 - 150 lbs in a day is possible. Pleasure bags of 20 lbs plus are commonplace. Through the winter months, quality roach fishing is supplemented by bonus carp and tench. It is genuinely a water for all seasons. Many anglers have caught their biggest ever fish, or had their best ever total catch in a day. However, most people come to South View (and keep coming back year after year) because of the atmosphere. A recent winner of the best kept fishery award, South View is big enough to challenge, small enough to care.

South View coarse fishery holds mirror carp up to 20 lbs, leather carp up to 16 lbs plus, skimmer bream in Heron Pond, perch in Kingfisher to 3.5 lbs, roach to 2.5 lbs plus, tench to 6 lbs plus, ghost carp to 15 lbs plus, rudd to 2.5 lbs plus, common carp to 28 lbs plus.

South View Farm coarse fishery is for keen anglers of all ages who respect the natural world and love their fishing.
