Getting There: From M5 Junction 27: Take the A361 to Barnstaple. After some 25 miles, you will come to only the third roundabout since leaving the motorway. It has a Little Chef next to it. Keep on the A361 for two more miles then, turn first right to West Buckland. First junction [250 metres] turn left, signposted to Riverton.
From Barnstaple on the A361: Follow signs to Landkey and Swimbridge. Follow signs to Riverton.
Riverton Lakes provide coarse fishing on three lakes set in a beautiful Devon valley with Exmoor and the wonderful North Devon beaches all within easy reach. Riverton provides an ideal anglers retreat or a perfect base to explore the beauty of North Devon.
Fir Tree Lake:
3 acre specimen carp lake with only eight numbered swims to fish from. 30 Carp between 20lbs to 30lbs and 20 high doubles.
Willow lake:
2.5 acre pleasure/match lake heavily stocked with Mirror Carp, Common Carp & Ghost Carp approaching 20lbs. Also Tench, Rudd, Roach, Chubb, Bream, Perch and Gudgeon.
Float lake:
As the name suggests, this half acre lake is for float fishing only.
The lake has a constant depth of 6 foot
and contains a large amount of tench up To 4 lbs,
true crucian carp up to 2 lbs,
large perch to over 4 lbs
and a small number of mirror carp up to 10 lbs.
Timber platforms and stone paths surround this pleasant pool.
No keep nets allowed
barbless hooks only
all landing nets must be cleansed before use in the dip bins provided
Keep nets are only allowed during organised matches and then they will be supplied by the fishery for a nominal charge.
