Blandford and District Angling ClubBlandford and District Angling Club has been going for over 50 years. With only a small annual membership of around 60 members they offer some excellent coarse fishing for prime Chub, Roach, Bream, Pike, Carp as well as Trout fishing on the Dorset Stour in the Blandford area.

Blandford and District Angling Club have 4 venues: The Crown Meadows, Nutford, France Farm and Buggs Water. Each venue holds large specimen fish which include Common Carp to 34lbs, Mirror Carp to 25lb+ [Yes these are River Carp!], Chub to 6lb+, Tench to 5lb+, Bream to 8lb+, Pike to 22lbs, Roach, Dace, Perch, Grayling, Brown Trout and the occasional small Barbel.

They hold regular club matches and open matches on their own waters and other local venues in association with other local angling clubs. If matches are not to your taste then there is loads of pleasure fishing available. Sometimes you will be lucky to even bump into someone on the bank!

Jim Allan from Blandford and District Angling Club says:

"Come and give us a try from anything from Night Fishing for large Carp and Bream at The Crown Meadows, stalking for Chub at any of the Venues, bagging up on Bream at The Crown Meadows or Nutford, catching a net full of Roach at Nutford, Lure fishing at all of the Venues, or even Fly Fishing at Buggs Water for Brown Trout! You may just want peace and quiet and from a choice of over 4 miles of unspoilt untouched prime River Stour Fishing, this is the place! We are a friendly club always looking to meet new and keen anglers."
