In 1953 a group of local anglers founded Ashton Keynes Angling Club to develop and promote the increasing number of gravel pits in the area. Over the last 50 years the Club has grown and now controls some of the finest mixed coarse fishing.
Avon Angling Club:Avon Angling club controls approximately 6 miles of mixed coarse fishing on the Bristol Avon, and the Kennet & Avon Canal, in and around the town of Melksham in Wiltshire, UK. Chippenham Angling Club:Chippenham Angling Club was Established in 1894 and has grown to be one of the largest clubs in North Wiltshire. Chippenham AA control the fishing rights on the Bristol Avon for approximately six miles upstream of Chippenham Weir to Kellaways Road Bridge.

Fly fishing for Brown Trout and Grayling on the chalk streams and rivers around Salisbury in Wiltshire England. Including the rivers Avon, Wylye, Nadder, Ebble and Bourne. Still water fly fishing for Rainbow Trout on small lakes. Coarse fishing on the Hampshire Avon, river Nadder and stillwater fishing at Petersfinger and Steeple Langford lakes.
